Blusion® is a five-piece electric funk/jazz/pop/fusion ensemble. It was founded by
singer Rustie Woods and bassist/composer Paul Dean in 1996. The band's early
material tended towards blues but contained generous elements of rock, jazz,
funk, Latin and jazz hip-hop. They released their first CD in 2000, titled
"Fuse It Or Lose It". Mostly original jazz-fusion, the music was
energetic, adventurous and engaging.

Performing throughout the Bay Area and beyond for the past eleven years,
Blusion® has performed with or opened for such notable musicians as
monster fusion and jazz drummer Steve Smith, fusion pioneers Spyro Gyra,
singer songwriter Bonnie Hayes, guitar legend John Scofield, and
blues/rock diva Lydia Pense, among others.

In late fall of 2007 Blusion® released their second CD, "Sign of the Times".
The current Blusion® philosophy is that groove is the one essential element that
must be present at all times. Maintaining their tradition of musical diversity,
interest and excellence, Blusion® continues to bring an amalgam of styles
to their music, which is always inclusive of that hard-hitting groove
keeping audiences locked to the rhythm of their sound.

This year in an effort to create a more accessible overview of Blusion®
we have put together a very short compilation disc. We hope you
enjoy it and we look forward to having the opportunity
to participate in your outstanding events.
